Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the 53rd religious leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, has been made the Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University. Prior to that, Dr. Najma Heptulla was the Chancellor of the University for the last five years. Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin has done excellent work in many fields including education and environment.
The 53rd religious leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, DrSyedna Mufaddal Saifuddin has been made the Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University. He has been appointed as the Chancellor of Jamia University for the next five years from 14 March 2023. The decision to make him chancellor has been taken by the university committee.
Dr. Saifuddin to DrNajma has been appointed in place of Heptulla. Prior to this, Heptulla was the chancellor of the university. She has completed his 5 years tenure. Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin is the head of the global Dawoodi Bohra education Muslim community with a population of one million since 2014.
He has done many extraordinary works in the field of education, environment, social and economic.The works done by him include Saifee Burhani Uplift Project, Turning the Tide, Project Rise, FMB Community Kitchen to eradicate hunger, many works to reduce food wastage and projects started to protect the environment.
