National Seminar on Sir Syed Ahmad held in Lucknow by Dr. Khursheed Jahan Girls and Boys Inter college Society.

Lucknow, 17th March, 2018: Dr. Khursheed Jahan Girls and Boys Inter College Samiti, luck now under the guidance of its secretary Dr. Khursheed Jahan organised a National seminar on “Jawad ud Daula Arif Jung; SIR SYED AHMAD KHAN”, a Great Nationalist and Visionary. .The society also awarded SSAK Excellence Awards on this occasion. It was dedicated to Munshi Nawal Kishore-Qaisree e Hind.
Prof Lukman Khan, Ex-VC-Jauher University Rampur, in his Chief guest address said it was Sir Syed vision to create an institution so that both Hindus and Muslims, who are known as hindustani could study and pursue education, on pattern of English curriculum. He disclosed theta there was no discrimination in the university admission or on campus or in residential halls. He said we are grateful to Sir Syed vision, because of which we, millions as individuals have benefited.
Prof Mahrukh Mirza-VC of KMUF University, Lucknow, who presided over the function said that Sir Syed vision for Muslims was that in one hand they must have Holy Quran and on the other hand Science. It would lead to their own progress and development of the country. He said it is always a great pleasure to revisit AMU campus again and again.
Guest of Honour Tariq Azam Engr was of the opinion that we must leave our past aside and work on present and future of education. He said that merely repeating past glorious periods of our forefathers, will not contribute to our educational and economical development. We as educationist, must strive to set up more primary and secondary schools.
Prof. Asifa Zamani, Chairperson- Urdu Academy, Lucknow and Prof Shakil Qidwai, Secretary AMU Old Boys association and Dr. Shabana Azmi also spoke on the occasion. Young girls from the Dr. Khursheed Jahan oriental school initiated the function with oration from Holy Quran. Egr. A.Rehman proposed a vote of thanks and Tabussum Qidwai Principal Talimgah-e-Niswan, anchored the function. .
