6th Indian Blind – Deaf Judo Para Judo championship to be held under aegis of U P Blind and Deaf Judo Association
UP Blind and Para Judo Association under the auspices of Indian Blind and Para Judo Association of India, are going to organise 6th National Blind and Deaf Judo championship; for sub junior, junior boys and girls and Senior Men and Women ,at U P Badminton Academy Lucknow. It is for the third time that they will be holding this championship in Lucknow, earlier ones were being organised in 2013 and 2016.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mukesh Meshram IAS, the Chairman of the association said it’s our endeavour to take this game to the underprivileged and poor students of our society. Our aim is to brighten the lives of these deprived people.
Munnawar Anzar, the spirit behind this tournament and himself a qualified Judo player and International referee and the founder Secretary of the association said that nearly 650 officials and players are expected to take part in the championship.
Noted socialite Sudhir Halwasiya ,Vice President of the association said it is our endeavour to taken this game to the underprivileged persons of the society. He further said that the championship is of utmost importance to the IBPJA , as this championship will serve as a test event for it,to bid for Asian championship /IBSA World Cup 2018 -19. Sudhir Halwasiya also mentioned that participants from 19 states will be taking part in this year’s championship.
An IS BA Referring and Coaching seminar will also be held during the championship. It will be taken by Mr. Gisick Jeoung from Korea and Eduardo Garcia from Portugal.
Munnawar Anzar announced that Judo Award in memory of late Akhilesh Das will be given ,in Junior and Sub Junior category, for the first time.
