Dr. E. Sreedharan, Principal Advisor, LMRC, today visited Lucknow Metro and reviewed the progress of the project for the entire 23 km long North –South Corridor (Phase 1A) from Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport to Munshipulia. Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director and other Directors accompanied him throughout his visit and briefed him about the progress of this prestigious Metro project.

The Principal Advisor first visited the Transport Nagar Metro station where Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director briefed him the operational and passenger facilities provided by LMRC at the Metro station and inside Metro Train. He visited the concourse and platform of the station to see the state-of-the-art world class facilities provided for passengers from the very first day of operations.

He then took a ride in Metro train from Transport Nagar Metro station to Charbagh Metro station and was very happy to see the cleanliness at the station & inside the Metro train. He appreciated Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director and his team and praised them for maintaining top class standards at the station and inside the train.

Afterwards, Dr. Sreedharan visited the LMRC Administrative Office at Gomti Nagar where he reviewed the progress of the underground Metro work going on for the Hussainganj-Sachivalaya-Hazratganj section and the elevated section beyond K. D. Singh Babu upto Munshipulia. The Principal Advisor also discussed the progress of other Metro rail projects including the Varanasi, Kanpur and Gorakhpur Metro Rail Projects.

He expressed his overall satisfaction on the progress of the project under the leadership of the Managing Director and congratulated Shri Kumar Keshav and his team for providing ‘Metro’ to Lucknow in such a short span of time.
