8th AOGIN India conference held in Lucknow

Lucknow, 10th September: The 8th Asian Oceania research Organisation on Genital Infection (AOGIN) India conference was kicked off in great opening ceremony at a prominent hotel in Lucknow by Brijesh Pathak, the UP law and Justice minister. During the 3 day conference delegates from USA, UK, Bangladesh, Japan and India took part and presented their papers on Cervical Cancer and it’s treatment. They also discussed their experience during the course of 3 day conference.
Dr. Vaishali Jain talking to undersigned said this dreaded disease is now curable with invention of HPVA Vaccine, which is available at all prominent hospital all over India and in 83 countries in world. The first test is done by VI test.
In another related question, Dr Vaishali Jain said that the major symptoms of Cervical cancer are excessive bleeding during intercourse, pain in lower portion of the abdomen.
Dr. Niharika Khanna from USA said that women in order to save themselves from cervical cancer should go in for Vaccine and this should be made compulsory as it has been done in USA schools for the last four years.
She also said that girls in the age group of 9 to 14 years, should undergo this test.
During the conference Dr. Usha Sarrya of Mumbai was awarded with Lifetime Achievement award.
The conference was graced by Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Dy. CM on the concluding day.
