BHADERWAH, 6 JULY: Abduction of 9 Year-old student Kajal Devi from tourist spot Himan-Nalthi  in Bhadarwah of district Doda has send shivers in this tourist valley. Kajal Devi daughter of Rakesh Kumar residence of village Nalthi on 2-7-2013 in the morning left home to visit nearby tourist spot Himan but not return back to home till evening of the said day. The parents of the girl searched her in the Himan and other relatives home but fail to find her anywhere in the locality. And on next 3-7-2013 they submit missing report of the girl in the police station Bhaderwah and allegedly abduction report against the Terath Bhagat resident of Nalthi Bhaderwah told by the relative of the girl.

Bhaderwah police have registered the case under FIR No 98/2013 under section 363 RPC and have started manhunt to arrest the alleged accused identified as Terath Bhagat, who is absconding after the incident told police officials. After failure of police in tracing the missing girl and alleged accused, today hundreds of students of Allaqa Athkhar along with villagers staged massive protest rally against the Bhaderwah police. The protesters were raising the anti-police slogans at Seri Bazaar Bhaderwah. Fearing abduction of the 9 years old girl, the protesters were demanding from the local dozing administration to make a search hunt for the recovery of the missing child.  Accusing the administration for sleeping over the sensitive issue, the president of Zamindara Committee Athkhar and NPP student Union district president Sachin Singh Sambyal strongly criticize the Bhaderwah police officials for their failure in tracing the missing girl and arrest of the alleged identified accused Terath.

They have given the three days ultimatum to the administration and have threaten if administration fail to trace the girl they will intensified the protest and the administration will be responsible for this.  It is pertinent to mention here that in the last month a twenty two- Year-old ASHA worker was molested and attacked at Chattra-Seri Bhadarwah by the accused Jeetu S/o Ram Prasad  a resident of Village Cheeka Seri, the said accused is still at large due to inefficiency and negligence of the police officials alleged Sachin Singh.

The protesters demanded to launch a search operation to find out the missing child fearing that she could have been abducted by anti-national elements that have entered Bhadarwah in the garb of tourists, masons or labourers.

“Parents of the abducted child have been spending sleepless nights and searching their baby with co-villagers, but the administration has failed to show its presence at this time of sorrow, which is a proof of its being insensitive towards public safety” they claimed. They threatened to organise Bhadarwah bandh in coming days if the authorities failed to recover the missing child in coming days.
